Mobile Development - Tester
Appfurnace is a free to use online app developer for Android and iPhones. Four our assignment we were asked to create an app aimed towards students joining UWE, but before we could do this we were recommended to play around with the programme first and get to know the functions.
To start, I opened up a blank page and placed three buttons in the middle of the screen, these would be links to my three other pages. I decided to use the media functions available to me and create a page for video, image and a map. Linking the button to a page was very straight forward, a simple selection of the button and choosing the page you wanted to open was all that was needed.
On each page the media would open into full screen. I had a few problems with the image as it would appear cropped when the page was opened. I fixed this problem by selecting the fixed options function.
After getting to grips with Appfurnace, I progressed onto creating my app for students.
